Dong tao chicks

Sadly it looks like a scam, I reverse image searched that yet I didn't find those pictures so sorry about that. If I deceived anyone then I apologize. Im hoping they respond to my email, so, just like what JacinLarkwell said, I can get a true image with the date. Rather sad, I was pretty excited however I will thank you all for saving me from a potential scammer. Hoping for the best though! 🤞
I'm a member of some local animal groups on FB. Scams like this happen ALL the time, I can't tell you how many people have complained after paying up front for an animal and then once they've paid they get blocked and/or never hear from the seller again.

I'm pretty new to poultry and bird keeping (Haven't even had my chickens for a year!) so I thank you for protecting me from potential scammers like this. I'd say not to get your hopes up as the more I look into this the more scammy it becomes. Found even more accounts on FB with the same name and pictures. I think you're just gonna have to pay a lot of money to get these guys into the US, I'd say look at some Philippine breeders as they said they would ship eggs, one of them told me they'd ship 30 eggs through FedEx express for over nine hundred dollars.

Give them a few years. They'll be here. Look at how the cemani's proliferated once they got started. In the meantime, there are LOTS of neat birds to be had. If you want something unique, take a look at the Conservation Priority List at The Livestock Conservancy's website. There are many breeds that could use a boost! That's how I found my Nankins. They may not be as unique as the DongTao, but with just a few thousand birds on the entire planet, they're a rare treasure worth saving. I'm sure you can find something on the LC list ... and as a bonus, it shouldn't cost you $50 a chick!

Just because it's listed as rare doesn't mean that everyone's going to want to raise them unfortunately. I've looked at that list and frankly hardly any of them are interesting to me and the ones I like are impossible to get unless I personally drive across the country and pay a small fortune for a single nonstandard male

Plus almost half of that list are avaliable as hatchery stock. I have one of those breeds already and more on the way.

The problem is, pictures can be edited/photoshopped
I think it would be harder to photoshop if they showed one with a current newspaper in the pic and show the date on that, instead of having a computer dated thing

That's more what I meant. I was advised if you're seeing someone online to ask for them to take a picture with like a pineapple or soda pop so you know that they aren't taking a pic of the internet

I love exotic and rare breeds so this interests me a lot thank you so much!

According to the Internet, an adult pair of Dong Tao recently sold for $2500. Fifty a chick with no real communication just sounds suspicious to me. It warrants some homework, for sure - a farm address, or a name to search, maybe?
I totally agree - 50 $ a chick is not a realistic price regarding a reputable, reliable source. It just can't be real considering that price.
