Congrats on your beautiful blue chick. I had some Blue/Gold brahma eggs, 7, and only one hatched. I carried it around and when I laid down, it ran up to my ear, stuck its beak in the ear canal and fell asleep.

Condolences on the other chicks. If they could have lived by pure intentions, they would have. I hope you find another chick, I had to put a week old chick with mine, and they are best friends still a month later. This has been a remarkable journey, and I learned a lot. Thank you sincerely for sharing this experience.

Call your feed stores. Ideal delivers on Thursday's.
Our feed store usually gets in chicks, I’ll be checking there today. I need to get some stuff from there anyways.

You cut your nails!
Yes! My thumbs were my only long ones left I and was tired of almost stabbing the poor babies.

:hugs:hugs
So the other twin's beak was all the way at the opposite side if the egg right?
Yeah. It was at the top of the egg and it was kind of buried underneath. There just wasn’t enough room in the egg for them to move positions. Sorry if it was hard to hear in the video! Everyone had gone to bed, and I’m still trying to get my voice back from this darn cold.

Sorry they didn't make it. Hope you feel better today. And I hope you can get friends for the other chick! If you have a TSC around you, they have chicks now. They told me they are going to carry them in the fall now too:idunno. Good luck and thanks for letting us watch!
If our feed store that is down the road doesn’t have any young chicks then I’ll check TSC. The closest TSCs that are doing Chick Days are 17-30 miles away.

Of course! I knew that there was a slim chance they would hatch, but I wasn’t expecting the other egg to not make it either. Everything happens for a reason though.

We’ve been carrying around this chick too. It gets so excited when we go to get it out of the brooder.

I am hoping that they have something younger but if that’s all anyone has then I’ll just have to try it.
