I was wondering..if there are 2 yolks in one egg, would there be twins in it? If so,could they both survive until hatching?

Thanks,Carrie

There is a thread here where speckledhen did incubate a double yolked egg. There were 2 chicks that developed but could not survive a hatch. That is usually the outcome of these things.

They never survive to hatch.

I have known of one person hatching a double yolker and both living, ONE TIME. One of the twin-hens lived to be about 20 years old, the other one in her teens.
