Hi I was wondering if anybody could positively gender my older duck.

The larger duck is the one I'm trying to figure out their gender and their name is Yuki.

The younger one is named Glacier.

its hard to tell. Realy hard to tell

best thing is to video tape the sound each one makes and post it here. Then we can compare

As they grow the males become raspy and females become honkey

Yes but Yuki has health issues and I don't know if it's effected their voice box. (Suspected wry neck, angel wing, and confirmed delayed growth.)

Thanks for trying but I guess I'll just wait until their vet visit to see about finding out their gender.

ive tried so hard to guess genders. ive studied it for over a year. took photos, took notes, measurements... and its just not possible

How old are they? Does it make any sound like the following...
"HONK!!"
"FWHACH!!"
""QUACK!!"
"WONK!!"
"WHAKKKK!!"
lol. These are some noises they make. I'm leaning towards a girl. And obviously, if it lays eggs, it's a girl

Ah another question, is there any other female? If so, look at her bill and feet. See how they are not colorful? Now look at Yuki(I think their name is). Do they look the same? Males have colorful plumage (Pekin males will have bright orange bill,feet, females have more of a yellow brown bill & feet.) to attract females to mate with them. Fun fact, did you know males choose all and any females to mate with but females do not? And did you know dark-feathered ducks get whiter each year just like humans and dogs? Pretty cool stuff eh!?
