Duck Emergency

This happened o me with one of my chickens! She didn't make it, bu I do hope your duck makes i. If you have a vet bring your duck to it if you can fix it yourself, because in the end, my chicken ended up with maggots, and it was not pretty, nor was it a good way for my hen to go down. Good luck!

If possible get to a vet. It does look like there could be an egg. It may not have a shell, so if you are looking for a hard lump, you would not feel it - it would flex just like the tissue. See if you can find the opening and lubricate it to see if you can get something out.

A warm soak in a shallow tub may help to relax her enough to lay if there is an egg, but I would keep trying to shrink the tissue with honey, sugar, or Preparation H, and push it back in while holding it in as long as you can.

Its a lot easier to push back in compared to a few days ago, but part of the mystery round thing is crusty at the top. She is going threw a hard core molt too. Later today I'm trying the honey to hopefully make it smaller. She still seems to be a very happy ducky.

Was that her in the tub? If so, she needs to bathe in clean water or there is a very good chance that her prolapse will get infected.

The water was clean before I put her in but you know how ducks are.
I tried everything with the honey and all the other stuff but nothing is working and now it might be infected, most likely she's going back to the farm to get treatment and if that doesn't work then we have a vet nearby.

If you wait much longer it will be too late. Heck, might be too late already, so I'd go to the vet now if that's an option.

The bird specialist isn't back until Monday, But I bought a special spray to take care of the infection
