Sadly today one of my duckling died from a brooder malfunction. The brooder over heated so much that the chicks and ducklings started to have heat stroke and be cooked alive. The whole 22 chicks and 1 duckling survived but 1 duckling could not make it. I Don’t know when this malfunction Started to happen as when I woke up in the morning I went out side to look at my chicks and duckling and saw all of them on the floor panting in a corner so I immediately turned off the heat lamp and changed the water with cold water as the water in the brooder had gotten hot and put a cpu fan on the top of the brooder lid Made of hardwire cloth and misted the brooder with a spray bottle to lower the brooder temperature and gave each chick and duckling water (in which I had mixed electrolytes) with a syringe as they were to exhausted to drink on there own, after giving them water with a syringe they started to Perk up and drink on there own and they fully recovered except 1 duckling which sadly died. how can I prevent this from happening again?

(sorry for bad grammar and spelling mistakes)
