Thanks. I actually think that's exactly the point. Vaseline is a petroleum-based lubricant. We want to use a water-based to not seal in bacteria, and it's just for getting it back in. We'll know more after our vet appointment tomorrow, and we'll be sure to update. Thanks to everyone for your help!

, Vaseline is *not* water soluble, it's petroleum jelly, it's completely insoluble in water. In fact it’s water repellent.

Exactly. Not positive, but I think this is why many gynecologists suggest using something like KY Jelly instead of Vaseline.

No it won't trap infection in his doodle...It does keep bacteria out if you clean his Penis first...
