Anything tough with a good root system and no pretty yummy flowers for them to pluck. I don't know about saw grass, I don't think we have it here. :idunno

One major factor I can't believe I forgot to include..
How will they effect my feed bill?
I just rid myself of an overflow of unneeded chickens and took back control of feed costs.
I guess maybe I should be pricing Duck Feed at local retailers or is the All Flock I have been feeding my Rooster feeder pack an alternative?

Some sites I have been exploring, are warning about the consumption of bread. Now when I see people on park benches feeding bread pieces to the ducks I think those sites are just quacked up.

What is that floating food you get when you are at the Zoo? The stuff in bubblegum machines you get to feed the ducks for a quarter? Is that a treat or a meal food?

I am sure pizza is not good for any livestock. lol

The all flock feed is fine for ducks, just be sure to offer some free choice oyster shells for the hens and their eggs. The problem with the bread is that there isn't any nutritional value in it for ducks and an over abundance of it in their diet cause create deficiency issues for them....a bag of frozen seet peas or corn would be much better....thawed of course....and a dozen or 2 of small minnows in a freshly changed pool can be quite entertaining....:)

I feed my adult ducks chicken layer and always have.
I can't afford the all flock.
