Alright folks, this thread is being reopened. Please remember to use the report flag in the lower left corner if you see a post that violates the rules instead of responding to it.
From the rules:
Be friendly and courteous to all members at all times. Respect that people may have a different political, religious, philosophical and cultural background than you. No Fighting or excessive arguing. Taking a personal conflict to the forum is unacceptable. "I'm right, you're wrong" threads and posts will be edited or deleted.
Geesh, guys. I leave you alone for a DAY and look what happens.
Glad the thread's reopened. I don't know what I'd do without my "Eastern Tennessee" fix.
Grawg, that story about the duckling is so SAD. I had a little wheatie that was like that. He was always recuperating from some mishap or other. He finally died when he broke his neck flying into the roof of the coop, as best we can figure. He was still a juvenile, too. His name was Shadow because he always followed us around like, well, a shadow.
I am with Daphne: I bail for a day & look what happens. I am, as usual, confused. I hope I am not commenting on whatever caused the thread to close. We all have our own views & ways we deal with predators. I am in the camp of extreme action. I think most all animals are beautiful in there own way but when one starts or attempts to prey on my livestock we will do our best to eliminate the problem.
What Happy said is correct. I lost my temper in my desire to defend against people you would write such things and should have just used the report flag instead of responding
Better me getting my hands slapped than you guys though.
I went into lock down on the eggs. Fingers crossed we dont get too many that were late quitters. Lost just a few to not being fertile out of 18. Candled the rest for the last time at 2 weeks and saw nothing but solid mass..so I know they were going strong up to that point.
stang... I have ninja's 1/2 brother BTW and he looks just like her. Today I could finally tell he is going to be a roo. Figures the last egg from that group that I hatch is a boy
