:frowHi everyone! I've created a poll on when your pullets first come into lay. Thanks for clicking on it and please enter!!!:D:fl I will be posting results in 20 days so please come back then and check to see results:) Now one more thing before you begin: after you post your answer you MUST comment and say what breed of chicken it was. Ready? :highfive: Let's begin!
I voted, my Rhode Island red laid first, then my Barred rock, then the sliver laced wyandotte.

I voted for my average at 18 weeks. My Red Ranger and CX started laying at 16-17, my Ameraucana/maransXhybrid reds start about 19-20. My leghorn/CCLXhybrid reds started 18-19 weeks and seem to be sexlinked. The only ones at over 20 weeks to start are my pure Marans... I’m still waiting on my MaransXleghorn/CCL, MaransXisbar, and second batch of pure Marans (from older hens)

I voted. I have two Golden Comets that started at 18 weeks ten days later two Black Jets started . My Barred Rock was a week later, and I have a Rhode Island Red that started last of my six chickens. Her eggs have a purplish hue, which is really neat. She was not a friendly chicken until she finally started laying and now wants petted a lot and is a real lover.

My Sussex started to lay at just after her 19th week!
