We have found yolk in our laying boxes and thought a hen was eating them. Today we found an egg with such a fine shell you could see through it and another broken egg with just a limp cloth like shell. I have been adding Oyster shell to each feeding until recently when I switched to a crumble calcium fortified. Any suggestions? Can I overdo it with the calcium?

Don't force them to consumer extra calcium, they will crave it as they need it. Shell less eggs are usually just a glitch, or from stress and have nothing to do with calcium intake.

Egg eating can be from a protein deficiency. What are you feeding them? A good ration should be available free choice. I recommend something with a higher protein, 18-22% to prevent deficiencies. A good non medicated grower or an All Flock with a separate bowl of oyster shells is how I feed.
