Cockerel. What a handsome boy he is! I would guess that he is a Easter egger, though I'm not the best at identifying breeds. Are you going to be able to keep him?

I guess I can't really know if he's an easter egger until I see his earlobes... I was going to say I'll have to wait until he starts laying but well...

Huh, I didn't know you could tell if a chicken was a EE by their earlobes! I was just assuming he is a EE, because he fits that most (in my opinion) than any other breeds you listed.

The chick is probably just an off colored Welsummer. There is some variability with chicks, just like with adult chickens.

The bird in pictures 2 and 3 is a Welsummer cockerel.

What I mean is that generally, white earlobes means white or blue/green eggs whereas red earlobes are generally brown eggs. At least that was my understanding.

White earlobes are usually associated with white egg laying, but red earlobes are more common for blue/green layers, with exceptions.

I believe some of the new blue egg hybrids like starlights and Whitings often have white lobes because they are Leghorn crosses.

Coloration is wrong for Welsummer.

I'm thinking maybe an Early blooming Partridge Rock pullet.
