Ok I checked the egg before going to bed and I noticed that the breathing wasn't right from what it was in the morning. I broke open the egg to expose the head and the inner membrane was drying around the head and the chick was not getting enough oxygen. I left the half egg on the chick and went to the bathroom to get ready for bed and I must have taken too much shell off cause the chick was out and bleeding. I though fast and grabbed some of those make up remover pads. (they were in the bathroom vanity when I bought the house
) they helped stop the bleeding at the yok sac. I did put Neosporin on the yok sac belly button and cut a waterproof non stick band aid brand bandaid on it. The poor thing's eye lids (or the part around the eyes) are so swollen and had some redness starting in the corners. I do not think it would've made it through the night. Right now it is resting and moving around now and then. The swelling isn't as bad right at this moment cause I just checked.
Is there anything else I can do for this little one if he survives?
