I love emus. I've hung out with them in Australia & South Africa with my neighbor's birds. As long as they have respect for their owners, they are cute & friendly even as adults. They are my favorite ratite, second to Rheas. I don't think they have killed anyone to date unlike ostrich & Cassowary (sp). I think the perfect cross would be emu/silkie but then again I'm already under their spell so I guess there's no hope for me.
