Welcome!

So fun I am due in Oct 25th so lots of pumpkin babies!!!

How are you going to deal with the heat this summer? The summers here are really hot and humid and I was miserable last year and I didn't even go into the summer!!

HEY KRCOTE!!! We're due the same day!!! Or there-abouts, I get different answers from different sites, but pretty much between sept 28th and Oct 1st. COOL!!

So, we are either 9 weeks and one day, or allllllmost 9 weeks, right? I really want to be further along, just to be that many days closer to NOT having morning sickness and being soooo tired!!

Chickie farm, CONGRATS on the pregnancy!! Trust me, after about the 4th month, time seems to fly, then around the end of the 8th, it REALLY can drag!

A pool is an absolute MUST in the summer when you are big and preggy- NOTHING like feeling weightless when you have a big ole tummy! AND you dont have to be self-concisous because people expect you to be a bit bigger when your pregnant! I LOVE being preggers in the summer- I get to wear light summer dresses (theyre great at hiding my bigg thighs and booty) and sandals rock, so I dont have to stuff swollen feet into tight shoes! Sunlight on your exposed tummy will feel sooooo unexpectedly GOOD and healthy and wholesome. And not being stuck indoors as much can mean fewer colds when our immune systems are down due to the pregnancy. Oh, oh, and there is always the holidays! Nothing cuter than a new, tiny baby in all those family pics!

I'm not sure how it is to be in humid weather though. I have no tips for dealing with that. I would probably try to do ALOT of walking in the mall, or other A/C'ed place, (walking in every trimester is SUPER good for your future labor anyways).

Glad you joined us here on this thread!

Yes, depending on what site I look at we are due the same time! Lots of people have warned me of the "horrors" of being pregnant in the summer but I honestly was thinking of all of the nice things you mentioned! I can't imagine being bundled up in layers with a big belly! Or having to wear SOCKS, YUCK!!! I was even thinking about how nice it will be to have a baby for the holidays as well! Great minds think alike

Nothing like pregger women getting together. I remember how the time dragged last time. My DH was deployed for my whole pregnancy so I didn't get to enjoy it as much. I still have my pregger flip flops I used last time. We don't have a pool though so I won't be able to enjoy that. I'm going to try and convince my DH to take my to OBX for our anniversary so I can swim in the cool ocean with my big belly!

NOT looking forward to labor again though. When I found out again it all came back to me and makes me scared again!!!

I am seriously dreading being due in August! Not that there is much I can do about it at this point...

I do a lot of my work outside in the Texas heat and humidity - and for safety reasons, I have to wear long pants and closed toe shoes - yuck! I will be LIVING at our local pool on the weekends though!!!

Alabama heat is awful too! The fricken humidity would choke a fire breathing dragon!! My due date is September 7th, so I am certain I will have this baby in August, the hottest month of the year.. I tell folks we have the kind of heat that Satan is accustomed to!!
