Congrats! How far along were you?

Thanks. I need to get better pics but the flash bugs her so I feel bad, lol. Plus I'm her momma so of course I think she's adorable but she does kind of look like e.t. since she's so skinny and under her hat is a huge bruise.
Her sisters names are Evelyn, Madelyn, and Cara Lynn, so I had to be a dork and stick with the lyn thing.
Oh, and I was 33 weeks. I usually deliver around 37 so I was expecting her a little early but not this soon. I even stopped at u/s to schedule my next appt on my way to l&d to be checked out. Poor daddy was at work and got told via text message he had a new daughter.

We didn't have a name picked out yet even, and with this being my fourth girl I have pretty much everything for her, but I haven't even started to get everything ready. So, now I want her to come home soon, but am kind of glad I'll have a little time to get ready for her!

Hi everyone! Went to the doctor Thursday and got my rogham (SP) shot. Forgot how much those things hurt! lol They said I lost 4 lbs and that is a good thing considering I was at 255 4 weeks ago so I was happy just to know I didn't gain any more weight. I am at 29 weeks tomorrow!! Time has gone so fast it seems. I was at 276 when I had my first son and am trying not to get that big at delivery time with this one.

my last baby was 33 weeks and 6 days. He was in the hospital for 8 days to eat and grow. He had to gain weight and keep it for 2 days before they let him go…..it was heartbreaking every morning the weighed him because I wanted him to be home and I missed my family. The hospital let me stay in a empty room with him until they needed it. He was tube fed at first because he didn’t have the suckling reflex and it would wear him out using trying to use a bottle and breastfeeding in the beginning was out because that is more work than a bottle. We pushed him on the bottle too fast and it caused him to lose more weight from working so hard. There is a happy medium, but you have to find it. Good luck with her.....she is precious.

Haven't yet.....they hurt?

Lol yeah, it is a shot so that hurts but they kind of burn for awhile after. I had the choice of my arm or hip. I went with the hip cuz they said my arm would get stiff/sore if I didn't remember to move it often. Just hurt for about 2 hours after. I have a birthmark about the size of a half dollar right where the nurse gave me the shot and DH thought it was from the shot. Men never think lol. It got me extra pitty from him though.

LOL I think that's the one I've got to get....is it a series of shots or just a one time thing?

You have to get a rhogam shot around 28 weeks, after you have an amnio or any procedure that could transmit blood, and after delivery if the baby is positive. I had to have one after this baby even though I had my tubes tied, lol.
Lauralyn is doing great still. She's under the lights today for jaundice but they are increasing her milk and everything else is good.
