I'm thinking the shower won't be until May or so just in case....and also so my sisters and mom can come up from Portland.

I have no idea. I think I've heard 5 months earliest but usually 7 months...and then someone else said it's "bad luck" to have them so early that the baby wouldn't survive if born premature?" I have no idea, honestly.....although around here a baby born earlier than 37 weeks is flown out to Spokane because we don't have the resources to keep them alive, apparently, if they are born too soon.

I was wondering when showers usually occur too. I decided to have mine at the end of this month (or I mean, in about 10 days

) I figured having all the baby stuff around will motivate us to get the room together for him. Since we have no room to put anything we will need to clear out the room and set it up so we are not tripping over all the supplies. I'll let you know how that works out

We are finally getting all the construction finished around here (thank you baby shane!). Since my DH is a contractor, he has done a lot of remodeling, but left most projects 97-99% finished for years. Now I may actuallly get 100% completion on those projects.

He surprised me the other night when he came home with paint for the room (in the color we had picked out for all the baby accessories). He is obviously excited (as am I).

Kelsey - did u have your shower yet?

I have (according to the baby center) 84 days left. Seems so long, but yet I need all that time anyway.
Hope all is well with all you mamas!

WOW! All of my mothers 4 babies were born befor 37 weeks and were sent home right on time like all babies with no problems except for the one that was 32 weeks and they just kept him to make sure he was gaining weight.
That was back in the 70s though lol.
