and Welcome!!

you guys must be busy this weekend huh?

I just got relief from my DH who has been driving me crazy the last day and a half as he went to a friends house. He has a sore tooth and I got him an appt for tuesday, but he has been very insensitive and I am thinking it's cause his tooth hurts. And perhaps I am being too sensitive so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt for now.
Last night at dinner he asked me what 8 course meal I was gonna have....I was offended! Held my tongue and didn't say what I really wanted to.
Then today, I realized while I was starting to get things in a bag for the hospital, that a nursing shirt would come in handy. So I can look presentable if someone comes to visit, but have an easier time nursing too. So I get online, look up what kind of stuff is out there and when he asked what I was checking out, I told him...nursing shirts. and he says...Oh, another thing to waste your money on. grrrrr....ya...waste of money, I will just undress from the waist up everytime I need to breastfeed...or maybe just walk around topless everywhere. Jerk. His solution.....buy button down shirts, um hello.....it will be freaking summer. A nice flannel should do right?

Besides...we still would need to BUY them.
grrrrr...then I go outside to feed the chickens scraps and one of the baby chicks can find it's way back to mama, so he nastily tells me how I need to be throwing the food differently. Making a pleasant, feeding my chickens experience a crappy one.

what he is really lucky that I haven't totally gone off on him yet.

I am just emotional today, thanks for being here to rant to. I hope he stays over there for a good portion of the evening. I feel like he is being the insensitive husband that I know he is not. I mean, he is a great guy, but I am really annoyed at times...he asked me 2 days in a row why I didn't pick him up beer.....HELLO?????
smack.gif
your ex-alcoholic, pregnant wife who had to quit drinking at a moments notice didn't pick you up beer. I wonder why. He is lucky I am not a total wench and making him quit drinking too. I only asked him to stop for the 1st few weeks so that I could quit.

ok I am still ranting huh?

stupid hormones.

In effort to change the mood....I can't wait to wear my regular pants again, ride my horse, bend over easily, be allowed to carry my chicken feed and take ibuprofen. not to mention...where is this spring I hear people talking about? It snowed again and I have had it with this snow. Begining to wonder if I will ever wear my short sleeve maternity shirts.

Kelsey - how's your Emu? any names picked out? Are they like chickens....or can they be sexed a little easier?

Dh has said that I am too sensitive lately too, and I know I can be, but I swear he tries to push my buttons, then I feel bad when I snap! But I have also been more loving and cuddly with him. He has always been a cuddler, and I have never been, I love him more than anything, but can't stand to cuddle. But lately I can't get enough of him, I miss him when he's at school, and I want to cuddle all the time. He is LOVING it!

Emu is doing great, they can be sexed by the pattern on their head, girls have stripes and boys have a bullseye, but this baby has sticky head fuzz that is slowly fluffing up, we think it may be a girl. I was thinking emily, but we have been calling her Moo, and it seems to be sticking, lol. Moo shot for eMU.

yup, feeling better today. must have been my stupid hormones. thanks guys. hope y'all have a good day! I settled in last night with a nice piece of pie and was feeling much better by the time he got home.

Had a dream last night that I had the baby and didn't remember going through labor, never got a epidural and was asking the doctor if I passed out or something. It was very easy and I walked out of the hospital, with my new baby an hour later cause they needed my bed for other deliveries. lol, I wish!

oh and I found out that some of the maternity shirts I have will work for nursing...I went through the bag of shirts that I am keeping for warmer weather (If it ever arrives) and saw that they will work. I even saw that one of my favorite summer shirts (not maternity) looks really nice with my big belly and will work for nursing. that's relieving.

um, wierd...I saw some moist spots on my bra last night....wierd, hang on kid, not yet!

Glad your feeling better! Yes, those hormones DO make us more sensitive, but dont let others make you feel like your hormones are doing all the work. Sounds to me like your hubby WAS being insensitive and there is no excuse for it. Its a good thing you didnt react, thats really the best way to handle those kind of situations, then try to talk about them when you are feeling more calm and happy. Us pregnant ladies can have more needs emotionally while pregg and there is NOTHING wrong with letting those around us know we need more sesitivity in our lives right now. Not like we need our butts kissed (although, that would be nice sometimes!

) but nasty comments are just gonna make our fur fly! I gotta say, youre much cooler than me- I would have totally let him have it!!

Dont worry about the moisture in the bra- totally normal! Your girls are getting ready to feed your baby, but thats not breast milk leaking, its a kind of 'foremilk', not quite colostrum, but not real milk, just kind of your body gearing up for production! Its actually a good sign you will make milk for your baby! Happens to me everytime (done it 5 times so far!), just get some of theose nursing pads (disposable or re-useable) and tuck them in there. Believe me, (if you plan to nurse or not) the first few weeks your boobs will leave puddles in your bra and on your sheets while you sleep! You will want those pads!

I actually put a mattress protector on my mattress years ago after my 3rd baby and only take it off to wash it and I have never regretted it! Between leaky boobs, diaper leaks, postpartum bleeding, and kids climbing into our beds while not feeling good (and then puking everywhere of course!), I still think it was the best bedding investment I've ever made! Breast milk will stain your sheets and mattress as will all the other stuff, but if you dont want to sleep on 'rubber sheets', you might want to line your side of the bed with big towels (on the mattress, under your fitted sheet works better so you dont mess them up while tossing and turning).

LOL, don't worry about that, I started leaking Colostrum at 20 weeks, you are lucky it's just now starting.

X2 - I've already started, too.

I can't wear a shirt without a bra anymore, but I keep telling myself this is a GOOD thing... lol
