I just got back....

She's FINE!!

We saw an MD first, who did the u/s. She felt very sorry for us having to go through what we did...she said they used to worry more about the EIF's than they do now. She said now, they are pretty common and meaningless.

The baby's head measured fine. No holes, lumps or fluid.

The EIF on the left ventricle is still there but again, not a big deal.

During the u/s the baby was kicking/squirming around, A LOT.

The doctor said that because I'm "thin" (which made me feel good, too, LOL) that the baby is only about 1 inch away from the u/s wand. So the baby was reacting to the wand & the vibrations from the machine.

The doctor measured the baby from top to bottom--took LOTS of pictures. There were two monitors--one for the doctor and one for DH & I. The doctor used the words, "beautiful" a lot when describing the kidneys, spine, face, etc.

The baby is almost exactly on target for her age--and actually, measuring a little AHEAD. She is estimated to be 1lb, 9oz. Which is like 5 days ahead of her gestational age.

Then the perinatologist came in.

He said what we have is a healthy, normal baby! He does not see any need for further follow up, amino, more testing, etc. He said she looks great. He asked me how much/often she moves. I told him quite frequently. He said that's a great sign. He said Trisomy 18, 13 and 21 babies don't move as much because they are sick/weak. He made us feel so much better!

Anyway, here are all of the pics I got!

LOL Yeah, yeah! I know. But unless you've been through what I went through--which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy--you'd be freaked out, too!

This is the greatest news EVER!!!!!

wow, good news rare feathers! What a relief!

I just had a dr appt this afternoon and measured 4cm, 90%. My dr is on call thursday...so thursday would be good for me

She estimates he will be 6 1/2 to 7 lbs or so. She also says I will likely go quickly and if my water breaks not to delay getting to the hospital. She keeps getting my hopes up! I just want it to be routine

I don't want to work thursday either...so lets hope I wont be.

I still need to make curtains, but that isn't looking like it'll happen for a few days and if shane makes his arrival it will be longer than that!

I'm Jealous! I've been crampy today and had a few random contractions today, but still think it will be a while. I'm starting to believe he will be late
