Both of my parents are diabetics (mom is insulin-dependent)...I have never been much of a sugar-eater, though...because I have blood sugar issues myself.

Oooh... good luck with yours then! Are they having you do the one hour or three hour?

Kelsey,

I have been following this thread to see how you and your baby are doing, and everyone else as well.

Your FB former friend, is a MASSIVE idiot! Her foolishness knows no bounds and you are better off not being a FB friend with her!

I have 3 boys, all full term, all induced (had gestational diabetes and did the whole shots thing too) Like you, I did not want a c-section and thankfully I never did have one. But, when it is life or death for your baby, only a fool would want to skip that c-section. There are FAR worse things than a c-section or induction and anyone who does not believe that has never known who waited for nature to take its course and lost a baby (my sister in law). The unfortunate part was only that your hospital was not prepared, something you had nothing to do with!.

May the horrible person that wrote such awful things not discover what delaying a c-section can bring on, but someday realize that the new baby in your arms is far more important than the manner in which the baby arrived.

Take care of yourself and your family, karma will take care of her.

Just the one hour to start with....but I am thinking they'll up that to the 3 hour.

OWW OWWW OWWW...

Debating whether or not to go in. I called the nurses hotline but they haven't called back yet. I've been contracting since noon and they're just getting stronger. I've been walking, drinking water, using the bathroom as often as I can... I'm just worried that I'll get there and they'll tell me they're not doing anything. 'Congratz on the contractions, but you're still only 2 cm'... They're not the most regular but they are getting stronger. And they're lasting anywhere from a minute thirty seconds to three minutes on average.

I even bought parsley today to use in the morning...

*They just called me back; they want me to come in.

Yes throat punch. I learned about it from one of our mods here. A throat punch is delivered by a full grown kangaroos feet accompanied by a mouth full of spit from said kangaroo.

She and her hubby never wanted kids, then she heard that biological clock and his name is Blake and he is 2. She is hysterically funny. I recommend her blog to anyone with children, small or grown.
