Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

23wk check today. Went well. Gained almost 10# since 5wk ago.

But I already knew that as I check my weight sometimes at work. We'll be getting the 26wk ultrasound in 3 wks to see if the previa has improved. If not, I'll be pretty sour as my restrictions will be no lifting, exercise other than walking, even sex! Ugh! Let's hope the placenta moves away from the cervix.

OB said that my max weight lift right now is 20#.

Anyway, I'm off cereal for snacking I guess. I'm not concerned about the wt gain but I don't want to have to diet more than needed after delivery. I've never been on a diet before. Also will have the GD screen next time. I chose the lemon-limedrink.

Hope everyone is well!

Glad to hear everything went well!

Will keep my fingers crossed that your placenta cooperates for you!

No sex is no fun, but I'm sure everything will work out just perfectly!

I'm 23 weeks today, too!

I like those as well but I think I am looking at the 2 in 1 as the better diaper option for us. That way, you only have to wash the liner and you can reuse the cover multiple time a day!

Do you have a link to those? I think I would like those better.

Please be very careful concerning your placenta previa. It can be a very, very dangerous condition for you and baby. I am SOOOOO sorry if I freak you out or make you any more concerned, but I have always felt knowelege is power. I had a partial previa with my 2nd son (3rd child) and I bled often from it. I ended up in the hospital on total bedrest around 34 weeks and it SUCKED! I will be honest and tell you I didnt follow DR's orders, like NO sex and no lifting. I would bleed from it, so please, please listen to DR's the advice! Im sure youve done some research, but just in case you havent been told, or havent come across the info, (scary part here) a mother can bleed to death within 5 minutes if she has placenta previa that begins to seperate early from the uterine wall. I began to bleed in the hospital and they ended up c-sectioning my son at 37 weeks. It was not a fun time for any of the family, but Thankfully, we all did fine. Again, Im so, so sorry if I have scared you, or caused you any anxiety, but I HAD to share and encourage you to be SUPER strict about following DR's orders regarding your condition.

I wish you the BEST of luck and hope your PP improves enough to not be a concern anymore.

I like the Flips with snaps, all of the reviews I've watched on youtube show the velcro ones becoming less effective over time. With this diaper you have 3 insert options; stay dry liner, organic cotton pre-fold or the disposable liner. Pretty cool!

Just had my first ultrasound at 5 weeks 5 days, no heartbeat showing yet but we were told we weren't likely to see it anyway. Saw a yolk sac and a fetal pole (which my DH kept calling a fetal stick

) so things look on track for now! Repeat ultrasound scheduled for 7/20 that way we are sure to see at heartbeat or not. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Thank you for your concern. You are right on all accounts. I'm not too concerned yet as the 19w u/s showed partial previa & it is quite possible it has worked itself out. But if not, I'll be restricted in hopes to not cause further probs. We'll be visiting fams the following weeks and she said it meant I wasn't even supposed to touch my suitcase. Thankfully DH is always supportive of these things. It won't be fun to fly with all that concern.

ARRRGG! I did it AGAIN!!! Ok, so I kinda see myself as somewhat of a veteran when it comes to pregnancy and maternity stuff, but I swear, I make the same stinkin mistake EVERY time!!

I dipped. Whats dipping you ask? Well, you know all those cute maternity shirts and dresses that have those wonderful strings on the backs to tie? Well, usually when I drive, i untie the strings so the bow doesnt bother my back, and I forget to tie it again when I get home. Then, I go to the bathroom. Guess where the ends of those strings go?

Yup. They dip right into the toilet and then, since Ive totally forgotten about them, after I get up, they slap me wettly on the back of my legs. AAAHHHHH! Gross, gross, gross! Then I have to go change and clean my legs and bending over is getting hard these days! I tryot avoid strings, but they are everywhere and do kinda add some cuteness to certain things.

So, ladies, learn from my constant mistakes and keep those strings tied!! LOL!!

Has anyone else given up on trying to shave their legs ????

I took my morning shower and really struggled to shave my legs this morning. They're all patchy now....I don't want to spend the rest of the summer in PANTS
