I have her coming home outfit packed. It's a t-shirt and overalls, a hat, mittens so she doesn't scratch her face, shoes and socks.... A little overboard maybe, but it was so cute I couldn't resist. And some of my stuff is in there too.. But not all of it. I still need to add my toiletries and a coming home outfit for me. I figure I will add those things last minute, since I don't have enough of either to spare.
Here is her little outfit...

The hat is pink by the way, not purple like it's showing up in the pic....

Too cute!

I just got back from my Dr. appt. I have one more 2 week appointment on August 24 and then we graduate to WEEKLY CHECKS! YAY.

Still breech - but I'm ok with that.

My foot swelled back up after the car ride and walking into the office, so have it propped back up.

I do not have either her bag or mine packed yet.

Still need to get a car seat and a diaper bag.

I don't even KNOW what I want to bring her home in yet!!

Cute outfit.

We packed a really sweet white outfit and headband for DD's hospital pictures. Too bad she was 9.9lbs and the nurse could barely squeeze her into the outfit. She took those pictures REALLY quick. This next go-round, we aren't even bothering with NB sized clothes.

Hey guys....I'm back....no baby.
sad.png
He did an ultrasound and checked, checked and re-checked the fluid around the baby (he said he was trying to make an excuse for getting her out early!)

But it was perfect.

My doctor checked me again.... 80% effaced but no change in dilation.

He said I must be "miserable" because she's so darn low in my pelvis. I told him yes.

We're still set for a c-section on the 16th unless she comes before then.

He explained that babies who are not born vaginally don't get the fluid squeezed out of their lungs as well....so the longer they can keep her in there the more mature and strong her lungs will be....I'm okay with that...I just hope she makes it until then now--because I don't want to deal with the contractions and stuff again.

On a funny note--as he was checking the amniotic fluid he looked confused...and then he said--that baby must have the most hair I've ever seen--that's not fluid....he showed me the picture and you could actually see squiggles around her head!

I told him that when I was born, I had hair like one of those troll dolls...and the doctor said--like mother, like daughter!

I'm still on that medicine and still have (mild) contractions....

On the way home from the doctor's appointment, DH stopped in the auto parts store to get washer fluid for my car and I ran into the nail place to get them to shorten & round my fingernails in case I don't have time for a fill this weekend--and on the way out, I noticed a HUGE nail in my tire!

So we drove to the tire store (slowly) and of course I have an oddball size tire which is not in stock. They're hoping it will come in tomorrow but it might be a couple of days...which means if/when I go into labor I'll have to be hoisted into the truck.

I needed new tires desperately anyway but we were hoping to wait until fall....sighs. A LOT of money. Like $1,000! :sad

So then we had to wait for my MIL to come and pick us up and bring us home....

If it weren't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all would you? Good heavens! Atleast you didn't actually have a blowout at highway speed... That would not have been fun at all.
We are used car shopping for me because my poor car needs so much to be considered dependable enough to haul a baby around in.. I've only had it for 12 years......

I've gotten my monies worth out of it though. I just have been avoiding a car payment like the plague... I despise payments.

Is anyone else inventoring their baby items??? lol

I thought today to inventory all the clothing I've been given, to see how many I have of what and in what sizes.

This was why Luke had to be airlifted to a better equipped hospital, he had Fluid in his lungs due to the C-Section. It's scary, so do make sure those lungs are ready!!! Almost as scary is the $39,000 Reach Helicoper Bill.......
