Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

RFF - drink LOTS of water, and pump and especially nurse as much as you can! . You can also try fenugreek capsules; I never tried them but know a lot of people who swear by them. There are also lactation cookies & teas you can buy. Good luck!!

It's very normal for them to lose weight for the first week or two. Don't give up if you want to try (especially getting the pump now). There are also lactation specialists available to help you & baby learn how to feed correctly so you both get the most out of the feedings.
Best of luck.

Thank you! I actually met with a lactation lady when I was in Spokane. It's kind of a blur because I was on Percocet.

BUT she did show me how to get Audrey to latch on correctly and she gave me a nipple guard which has been a lifesaver!

I won't give up any time soon--especially after spending close to $300 on this pump!

RFF-

dont give up!! Nursing is and can be VERY hard the first few weeks. Even some of us 'seasoned' breastfeeding moms can have trouble at first. It took me 2 or 3 weeks to get things up and running smoothly with #5, so take heart and stay positive as you can! Dont pump right before breastfeeding time, pump in between or right after to keep those boobs stimulated. Also, be SURE you are getting enough food into YOU so you can produce milk easier. I'm glad to hear you are supplementing, if it helps her to sleep and feel full, it helps your stress level go down, which is good for your milk production. Just keep trying!

For my update-

Im feelin allright...getting some foot/ankle swelling that stings a bit, hands and face are a bit puffy. Going to the Dr. this thursday and will be bringing that up to him. Im sure its nothing, but I still like to report anything unusual for me.
Finally got some decent pics this past weekend at my sons 7th Birthday party, so I thought I would share....

Me and Michael, with Uncle Tony hugging my oldest son Andrew-

Aaaaaaaaand, for those of you who enjoy a good scare.......

My belly this morning at 35 1/2 weeks.....(this is a good example of why NOT to get a bellybutton tattoo as a teenager, it USED to be very small and dainty *sigh*)

Feel free to totally ignore the massive stretch marks crawling up my belly- Im SURE they're just a figment of our imagination! LOL!!

Y'all are not the only ones! Last night as I was putting on my PJ's, hubby says, "Watch out! You just the tiger out!"

LOL!! Thanks guys! Now I dont feel weird about having them. I usually dont even think about them unless I see a pic or am changing in the bathroom (I really need one of those mirrors that make me look tall and skinny, just for the ego boost!

When I change in front of hubby, he always says- "Hey there, Jiffy Pop!!" He says my tummy reminds him of when he was a kid and they would pop popcorn in one of those Jiffy Pop things that you heat over the stove burner till it puffed up and was ready to eat. Showing his age, huh?!?!

my favorite time of day is - bed time!

Each evening it's like I can't wait until the kids are in bed and then I can go to bed. I'm good most of the day, then by late afternoon, I'm crashing. Even on the days I get to take a nap. It's like I just run out of steam/energy - and can't wait to lay my head on my pillow and sleep!

Baby Girl was super active today, and I am not kidding twice it felt like she was going to kick out my cervix!

I see the Dr. on Wednesday, and I'm kinda hoping to hear that I showing signs of impending labor. Even if I am having a c-section!

Just something to tell me that there's stuff going on - that my body won't keep her locked in for half of forever

My c-section is 3 weeks from today - if I don't go in earlier. Trying to talk my Dr. into moving it to five days earlier, since I am measuring a week ahead - but so far no dice.

Sigh. I'm so ready.

and I have all this cute stuff for her to wear.

and I've never been this impatient with past pregnancies.
