Up until Luke was 5 weeks old, he would only sleep in the napper station of his pack and play. Then Bill got him to sleep in the swing, so he would sleep in the swing for naps, and the napper station at night. Then I transitioned him to his crib at bout 3 months, and he had no problems with that transition. Now he uses a pack and play to sleep at work with me, and at home he uses his crib.

To calm a fussy baby, odd but a radio tuned to what I listen to normally wrapped in a towel to muffle it plus swaddling them, arms tight, feet loose has worked 90% of the time. Newly pregnant with number 5, yay!

You might also consider that sleep begets sleep. She may be overly tired which is why she's crying all the time, and if you let her sleep more during the day, she'll also sleep better at night. Babies still need a LOT of sleep at 2 weeks old - she probably shouldn't be awake for more than 30 minutes or so at a time right now. Good luck

Has she been checked for acid reflux... my grandbaby cried alot . and the doctors figured it was acid reflux( she didnt spit up alot) put her on axcid and changed her formula and she is doing much better. its just a thougt

The doctor says that she's doing great, actually. She is fussy when she should be. And he mentioned the same things that someone else had mentioned, whether it was here or on the new baby thread, that she is so used to constantly being with me that she just hasn't made the adjustment to not constantly being with me now. And to play with her schedule a little more - maybe she just feels off

Either way, she is being her usual great self today!

She had her two week old appointment today and the little chunker is 8lbs, 6ozs! Doctor said that since she is growing so well that we can go ahead and up her formula, hooray! She takes down two ounces in like two seconds at the moment!

Audrey is stillasleep. She went to bed last night at 9pm and has not woke up. I haven't slept well because I keep getting up and checking on her. She's just passed out and toasty. I think that humidifier made her feel really well and she's catching up since she only slept about 2 hours yesterday....
