For the hens:

I understand why you would announce your own eggs, creating an egg is a really cool thing, after all, but why do you announce each others' eggs too?

For the hens:
How do you make double yolkers? Does the rooster have to mount you double the times?

"Because some of us lay the best eggs around! So much so that our owner hollows them out to save! Just look at two of mine compared to my half sister's!

Why do you sit in a nest with no eggs?

Are you purposely punishing the humans by roosting on the waterer?

"Nope. They taste good. Even better if they're from a broody hen. Yep, been there, done that. Talk about horrifying the owner in the morning."

Lol, mine don't for the most part either, at least not for the night. They have tried standing on it though. I've suspected that some might, but I think most of the yuck comes from them scratching poop into it. So to update the question:

Do you purposely dirty your water?

Also, what do you think of those new nipple waterers?

"Yes."

"Of course not. But if I poops, I poops."

"Ignore the young ones, they're idiots. We haven't tried them since our owner wouldn't know how to even get them out of the box, let alone set up and not leaking or stuck."

What makes one nest box better than the other, so much so that you all have to use it at once?

For the roosters:
What are you trying to accomplish when you call the hens but have no food?
Do you really think the hens need to be shown where to lay AGAIN?

Egg Layers:
Is it comfortable to stack multiple birds on one another when you lay eggs? Do you like it?

"It's the only box we've got! Plus it freaks Dwight out so he leaves us alone!"

"Do I count? I'm half bantam, and no, I don't. My legs are too short to mount the larger girls. The spitzhaubens are the biggest ones I can get to.

"Thank you! We really are something, aren't we? Two of us and our Dwight got grand champion trio at the Montana Fair last year! Out of almost a dozen trios under a year and over a year and the judges picked us! We used to have some Blue laced red sisters too but our owner sold then and hadn't been able to get them since, ha!"

"I don't see much fighting apart from when the guys get too excited or possessive."
