Famous Hatchery 'Pure Bred' Appearances

What does a person means by "culling" a chicken?
It means to separate, by some means, the quality birds from the unworthy birds.
This can be done in many ways and for many reasons.
It doesn't always mean to kill the unworthy birds. It can mean giving away, rehoming, selling. bartering , etc.
Birds can be culled for many reasons, vitality, temperament, health, plumage color or pattern, genetic defects, or one just plain doesn't prefer that bird for some reason.
Best,
Karen

I've got some pics of my top two Cornish cockerels for this year.

This one is my favorite so far,

This is the runner up.

I have one pullet that has lighter coloration. Too bad it is too light to be standard, her lacing is gorgeous. I'll probably keep her around as a layer. I really like how strong the lacing is in my chicks I hatched from my trio. I only have one pullet so far with bad lacing.
