For me, it was all about growing my own food. The idea was that if I could sell enough meat and eggs to cover my cost of feed, it would be a win/win. I haven't gotten there yet, but sneaking up on it. I still need to clear more pasture so that I can raise beef as well as poultry and pork. AND I have a LOT to learn about pigs still. DW would like goats, DS want's sheep. One step at a time...
