Welcome, Frizzles, those are a unique chicken breed, how many do you have, are they on the smaller size?

in my limited experience I would have to say my white crested black polish. They are purely for pets. They're so daffy! But as far as chickens for chickens...i would have to say my ancona. She is the best layer of what I have at the moment. But I have high hopes for my ideal 236

Give me about 3 or 4 more months and I will tell ya what I think of her!

Barred Plymouth Rock, hands down, is my favorite breed, including roosters, then Orpingtons of all colors and true Ameraucanas.

I only have one frizzle right now, a roo named Dewey. He's very spoiled and lives in the house. I did have a few hens last year but they were outside and the fox ate them. I'm planning on getting some chicks in the spring. We have a few other chickens outside, a few polish, a few bantams and some silkies. We lost alot of chickens this summer due to a fox problem. I brought Dewey in the house to live in our utility room so he wouldn't get eaten and he's adapted quite well! He roams around the house when we're home and eats cat food with the cats and plays with the wiener dog. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but he loves him too. He thinks I spoil him too much (the chicken, not my husband!)

Tough choice between my Plymouth Rocks and my EE's. Both are highly entertaining, lay great, and easy on the eyes. ...........(thinking).....................nope, can't chose between them.

Like rose combs, BBR colored roosters, partridge or wheaton colored hens; small size so they eat less; so the winner is partridge wyandotte bantams. Just wish their tails were better (more like standard wyandotte's).

Have to say my WCB Polish 'Shelby' because she runs to me EVERY day to be held. She is such a sweet sweet girl. She is just about ready to lay so not sure how often she is going to lay but if she NEVER lays I will still keep her as a pet

She is here to stay till she dies.

They are pretty and lay gorgeous dark eggs fairly regularly.
Wellie, my 7 month old has laid every day since she started.
