first chick just hatched newbie never done this before

i only had 1 chick to hatch so far and cant afford to make any mistakes. when will the chick start eating? what temperature do i need? and any advice would be greatly appreciated

It doesn't need to eat for 3 days....temp depends on type of incubator.....

dont have a incubator hen stopped setting over aweek ago so i finished them with a heat lamp put the eggs on a towel in a box and then covered the box with plexiglass, i left a air gap and have wet the towel to increase humidity temp is around100 degrees

If its dry and warm it will eat when it's ready, but it swallows the yolk and doesn't have to eat for 3 days
