Grats chicken picken! I love green eggs. I try not to let on to my brown layers that I like the green eggs more, don't want them jealous.

They are making lots of noise now, and the have been going in the hen house durning the day wich they never use to. I hope they are getting close to laying there first egg.

Geez, my buff Orphington is 19 weeks old and not even turning red yet!!! What's with that!

When they turn they can do so very quickly. Mine was gradual but my Wyandotte and Barred Rock were fast.

I have 19 week old buff Orpington, 2 EE, 2BCM and a blue ameracauna. They are my oldest pullets, besides a silkie. Our temps have been and will continue to be over 100 degrees. My silkie is already laying, but has really cut back with the heat. I am guessing my older pullets will probably be slower to start to lay because of the heat?
