Does she have any shelter overhead?

I always have to wait until they get off the nest. I don’t have any ducks that will let me reach under them! :lol: (chicken hens, yes. Ducks, no)

Mine tend to take a break about an hour before sun down. Sometimes they want to bathe and take their time (30 minutes or more), other times they get a quick bite and head back to the nest. I try to candle about once a week, and also make sure no eggs are cracked or any other issue with them.

Yes, she's under a tree and has the shed on one side and a bush close by in the other side.

I think I'll have to wait too, she's not the type who'll happily let me reach under

Should I bring them inside to a dark room or can it be done outside?
 
While she was off the eggs for food and a wash I took the eggs inside to a dark room to candle them, 3 have visible red veins, 1 is a bit dirty so I can't fully see, my phone didn't take all the pictures I thought it did
