I have never heard of GH. I know of PH, Ammonia, Nitrates, and Nitrites, but not GH.
What is it?

The GH says how hard the water is. So, basically, how many minerals are in the water.

General Hardness.

Which isn't listed on any charts or links on my town's page. Whatever. I'll just find something else in my store that looks neat and will go to the surface third of my tank I guess

Sometimes that is a good way to go because then you can test what works. We do that with our cichlid tank, if it looks interesting, and not terribly aggressive, try taking it home. If it doesn't make it, then we know that we won't buy that fish again.

That betta reminds me of my sister's pride and joy Tramp/Masaki. He's a red little veiltail she raised from a baby!

My sister and mother used to have gouramis, but they all died of some weird illness....

Oh yeah, Rascal was my first fish getting back into the hobby, lol. He was originally in a 5 gal but petco had a sale and I got him the 10. This is what Rascal looked like when I first got him back in August. It’s crazy too see how much he’s grown

Meeko, the gourami, is still pretty new but he started to steal the sinking wafers from the corys.

He’s beautiful, my favorite are the blue and white marble bettas at petco.

I want one, but I sacrificed my 45 gallon for 8 goldfish and two corys!

Thanks! I have two spare 5 gallons and I’m really wanting to get one of those galaxy koi plakat bettas. I’ve had my eye on this guy but the spare tanks aren’t set up or cycled yet and I still have to finish the stand for them. I’m also wanting to get a tiger koi female or one of the baby girl females from petco to see what she grows into as a sort of surprise.

petco has those tank sales on occasion and you can never have too many tanks…

So true, I have so many tanks in my place, in lofts, in bedrooms, in living rooms and kitchens.

He’s gorgeus! I’ve never had a beta, but if you get the baby’s and raise them they are like puppy’s, literally!
