I had a pair of albino bristlenose plecos. They were incredibly fecund, and eventually I had to separate them!

Would a 5.5 gallon tank work for 2 female bettas?
It would just be a 20 gal sponge filter set up. With lots of plants and rocks.

I cant get a large tank right now. And petco has a 5.5 gal on sale which would fit right where i want it to.

Yeah, I'd say not two females in a 5g. Too small for two territorial fish

I already figured that out.
I forgot how territorial bettas can be.
Im just gonna do a 10 gal.

If it doesnt.
There is a tank seperator i can split the tank in half until one betta finds a new home if they get to territorial. But with a heavily planted tank i hope that won't happen

Ok good I just had to make sure the females would be fine with enough cover but that baby boy would be gone very fast.

Yeah,betta males can be jerks. I was watching a video on the most indestructible fish. I was amazed on how many I was able to kill in the past

This is the exact sand I have in my tank! I think it looks great, and it makes the plants pop more. Its also nice how its not as fine as sand, but its not gravel. If you do get it wash it because the water will turn black.
