MissPrissy, I can't say that I deserve your eggs in any way. However, from what others say about you this must not be your first time to do something so kind. I wonder what you are thinking when you do this. Besides out of kindness is there a reason for this? I am brand new at this site and am just trying to figure things out. We've just started raising chicks and about all we have right now are some "mutts" that I hatched at school in my classroom, but we sure do love them. We're trying to branch out and keep the types seperate but not sure what kind or type to start with. Just wondering if maybe your kind is a good place to start.

We actually got started messing with chickens for our baby grandaughters. They are having a ball helping Papa feed the chickens and that is enough reward for the work that chickens take. Anyway, if you see fit to pass the eggs on my way I would love it. Have fun doing what your doing because if you're not it's not worth doing.

As of a few minutes ago, I was racking my brain for a way to justify that I need these eggs. I am humbled by what I have read. Our first hatch was 21 chicks. All was well until week 8 when they moved to the out door run. We lost 6 the first night, unknown nocturnal visitor. We lost 3 the next, then 2. With continued modifications and a couple nights 'guarding' with a gun, we stopped losing chicks. Two days later, we lost all but 8 . . . my kids left a gate open and the dogs (stupid dogs) had a chicken lunch while I was at work. A week later, I lost my favorite hen . . . MIA . . . cause unknown. I was feeling pretty bummed about the whole 21 to 7 deal.

Now, I am thankful for what I have and not so worried about what I have not. Way to go Miss Prissy. Just for the record -- I am not throwing in my name. I will wait until I can afford to trade or buy, but felt moved to offer my comments. There is a wonderful group of people on these boards.
