Miss Prissy:

Sometime during the summer, I am coming to the Fairfax area to do my yearly errands in Northern Virginia and IF you will please do me the honor, I would very much like to give you one of my extra Sebastopols. I bought too many last year and have eggs in the incubator for this year.

You and I discussed my Sebbies months ago and after reading this thread, I want you to have one of my "extra" birds, if you are still looking. You'd be saving me the hassle of advertising it, buying boxes and worrying about shipping. I hope you'll help me out!

I haven't set up the time to come yet, and sometimes it's a last minute decision.....sooooo....c'mon, give me an excuse to meet you in person and thank you for so much great information.

Just got my first incubator and I need to try it out.

I don't think I deserve them, but my son would sure love hatching these. The last ones I bought for him we had a temp spike and killed them all.

there are so many 'things' i have received that i didn't deserve in a good way.

i'm not sure i 'deserve' them, but i surely would enjoy working with them. need a lady to go with my splash cockerel. he's going to be a lonely fellow.

i think no matter what or who wins, it's a blessing all the way around for the giver, the entrants and ultimately the winner. fun and good for all.

I am so, so happy!!! I know I SHOULD have done this privately, but I truthfully didn't think about it until I posted it. I think I get the posting bug and don't think.

ANYWAY, do you prefer a male or female? Curly or smooth breast? Adult or baby (IF any of my eggs hatch!)

I had them vent sexed, BUT he has not been accurate about all of them. Should I be lucky enough to get some of my eggs to hatch, I can better sex them, obviously, but then I won't know if they are smooth or curly! It will be up to you what you prefer.

My sebs look like crap right now because they are never in grass, only mud, but I'll try to post some photos later today. I am on a different computer right now and the photos are on the laptop that went to work with my husband, for maintenance, last night.

Woo Hoo! It's a happy, happy day!

A number of years ago I had Buff Orpingtons. I really enjoyed them and liked them. When we moved, an incubator was left by the previous residents. Sometime I would like to try hatching some eggs. However, the milk price is sooo low that I don't want to lay out money for hatching eggs or chicks right now. Thank you for your generosity in offering them to BYC'ers.

Hi Missy Prissy, I would like to have the eggs because I'm a newbie with no chickens. I could become a chick addict instead of a chick lurker.

I'm sure there are more deserving people...but, having said that, it is no reason for me not to wish for them also. I have some B/B/S Orp babies, of course I don't know how many pullets vs. roosters, although I am keeping the best for reproducing and the others for egg laying, (eating eggs) I would love to add some of your chicks..everyone praises your birds. I think having a better variety of bloodlines would only improve my stock..If I won, I would certainly pay it forward as you have so generously done...Best of Luck to all.
