This is the link that gives the rules for the photography contest. She obviously broke them so I'm sure they'd like to hear about it....

It's a very odd feeling to be reviewing a forum of post.. in my case it was a horse site and there as someones signature was a moving gif I had made for a web page on my site of one of the horse I bred, raised an sold. This was when web pages were in their infancy and regardless of what the page said someone simply snagged it and now 10 years later I find it out there as free "horse" art. When I simply pointed out to the poster who the horse was and gave his registered name so he was not a nameless piece or art people jumped all over me. I did not say anything bad to the person who was using the art just wanted them to think twice before right clicking and saving and giving credit to where credit was due.

Oh wow, I wonder if the company got the names mixed up on YOUR entry? Are there any in the calendar with YOUR name on it?

I wondered that, but the entries I sent in were for Purina. None with my name...

I hope you get to the bottom of it. Wonder if, once they're submitted to whatever company, they become the property of that company to do whatever with them that they please? Like give or sell them to other companies, or even put other people's names on them...you'd think not and I hope not, but some contests have outrageous fine print clauses that has to actually be sent for. I hope you get credit for your beautiful picture!

Yep, is says this "All entered images become the property of the
Oregon Department of Agriculture and may be
used in department publications; Web pages; and
other not-for-profit publications, as approved by the
department, without securing the photographer’s
express permission"


BUT, it also says this "All entries must be original digital photographs owned by the contributor." So they don't have a leg to stand on.
