Do you have any pictures of the birds and more of the eggs. The picture you show are not of 8 to 10 color on the egg scale. The reason I ask is that they look more like the 5-6 scale. So please more pics.

Okay...I just gotta say something here. The Marans Color scale does NOT got up to ten (10).

A nine (9) is the highest color that is defined.

Yes, I agreed these are closer to the 5-6 range.

On a side note, I find the color cards very hard to read. The colors of my Marans eggs are ussually a redder color than the card so I am trying to compare russett eggs to brown cards. Very difficult.

Good luck everyone with you new Marans. This is a great breed.
