From eggs to ducklings

Well we are almost at week 5. I have heard 4 different ducks quacking but can only narrow it down to three ducks at this time.

The ducklings got their first exposure to a big kiddie pool, that I stole from the dogs being as I can’t find another one this time of year.

The gang has gotten to try grapes, yellow squash, zucchini, broccoli, spinach, peas, cilantro and hard boiled eggs. They gobble it all up. They have also eaten ants, and grass hoppers outside.

I am trying to get them ready to stay outside in their duck house soon. Maybe next week or the week after.

Here are there other flock mates at just under a week old. Yes the border collie watches them. He makes sure to check on anyone who is sounding distressed.

I was able to get pics today of the four girls I have in my older ducklings. I just confirmed the forth today with finally catching her quacking. She is normally very quiet.
