Lucy still thinks she's broody and has gone back to her nest. I pulled all the extra eggs today and candled the ones I marked. Egg 4 is gone but the other 3 are showing development. I'm firing up the incubator and giving her some fake eggs until lockdown, temp is supposed to spike to near 110* The all white older Nn pullet is not good. Pale comb, moving slowly, not eating. She's not egg bound and her crop is empty so we're putting her down tonight. The white cockerel mated with one of the girls this morning. Angus knocked him off but didn't beat him up which surprised me. Although when he gathers the flock together he herds the younger cockerels too which I find interesting. I think some day he's going to be a great roo. Unfortunately though, I think we're going to have to process the extra boys sooner than anticipated before it turns ugly.
ETA not incubating eggs and not letting the broody hatch. Probably not a good idea with having to put down a pullet today.
