Found the hidden duck nest and blocked it off. I can’t get under there to get the eggs, but they can’t get in there to lay now. There is an alternate location where I found about a dozen eggs though.

On a side note, I don’t understand this societal obsession with a youthful appearance. Men getting Botox injections and doing commercials about it. Little old ladies with zero grays. I’m proud of my gray hairs and crows feet. I earned these babies.

I am obsessed with naked neck chickens but I live in the midwest where it can get below freezing in the winter But I see these guys for sale all the time at auctions and tractor supply and I wonder how people take care of them in the winter without their necks getting frostbite....

If I had that concern,, I would just install some crocheted neck warmers.

That reminds me of a story I read when I was a kid about a man with 1 old wife and 1 young wife. The young wife pulled the gray hair out of the man's head because it made him look too old for her. The old wife pulled the dark hair out of the man's head because it made him look too young for her. Before long, they had plucked him bald and then neither wife wanted him.

Now that I've recalled that, what a weird story for a kid to read.

Even the tweenager isn’t small enough or I sure would. The teenager is about 6’3” and over 200 lbs so he definitely can’t.

Hi there. They’ll hunch a bit like the rest of them and their necks will be fine.

Most Nn you get these days are mixes anyway and often have more fluff that they would otherwise. So I doubt you’d have much to worry about. As long you have sufficient ventilation and your birds don’t get frostbite now then the Nn should be fine.
