~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

The lights and sounds of the city were too intriguing for Lore to move on through the forest. Just one peek! She told herself as she flew down to the forest ground. Instead of taking off in flight like most birds she bolted off running. Her little white feather coated legs were just a white blur against the forest background. Lore sped up when she heard another 'honk'.
Finally, she had reached a long road with a few cars racing past. A stench so foul that it could make an eagle go yeep reached her. It smelled like it was coming from the giant metal beasts. Lore shook her head as if it was being clouded with fog and focused on the road ahead. Lore took a step on the black road. Her talons felt odd on the cold surface. It was so flat and smooth it was overwhelming along with the horrible stench. Finally, a gap between the cars opened up and the road looked deserted for a split second. Without thinking, Lore shot across the road and reached the other side out of breath.
The tiny owl looked around. A gigantic city stretched its self in front of her. Neon lights came bursting into her eyes. For a second she was almost blinded by the lights but she ruffled her feathers and took off running to a large trashcan. Lore hid under it to escape the lights and waited until morning came.

Outcast hopped from one foot to the other, peering at the sea gulls with dull interest as they went about their morning 'hunting' for fish.
Pathetic. They don't even have proper names. She thought as her eyes caught sight of one she had spotted before-- A young male named Fish-Sticks.
Her stomach twisted as she saw one catch a fish, quickly gulping it down. She herself hadn't had a full belly in, well, who knew how long. Keeping track of days had lost her interest long ago.
Suddenly, the whistle-like voice of a sea gull called out to her, causing her eyes to lock onto him. Obviously this dumb creature knew not of her bad reputation of attacking almost any living thing that dared speak to her. "Say, you're mighty pathetic looking, even for a sea gull."
Ritz Crackers shrugged dismissively. He was aware Bonaparte's were half the size of most. "In size I may be outdone, but it don't bother me none. I've got others same as me. So you, I ain't never seen the likes of you before, some might say it's because of my homing instinct, though I et no pigeon. You got family? I do believe you must be a different breed of crow."

Outcast puffed her feathers out defensively, but secretly was stifling a laugh at the sea gull's different way of talking than her own. That gull is rhyming his words and talking odd. Poor thing, might be missing some brain matter. "I'm a hooded crow." She said harshly, completely ignoring his inquiry about her family. She tilted her head, curiosity getting the better of her and decided to stick around, burying her beak to preen into her dull feathers that appeared to have not been taken care of in days.

"Boy, you don't look alright. I'm not normally one to be so bold, but you're a right curiosity. I apologize if you take it wrong. You need a bite? I know many crows take a liking for fish."
He dove beneath the waves for a little silver fish and brought it to the surface.

Outcast paused in her preening, eyeing the fish that he gripped in his beak as though it was honey that was tainted with the most deadly snake poison. "I'm fine." She hissed, before pausing slightly. "What do you want for it?"

Ritz just raised an eyebrow and threw it (the fish not the eyebrow, lol) at a friend. "Nothing..."

Outcast turned her head from the sea gull, disdaining herself for believing that she could actually trade for the fish when he was just teasing her with it, throwing it to a flock member. "What kind of sea gull even are you?" She muttered dryly, only half interested in his breed, having resumed preening. Perhaps keeping conversation open could present her with an opportunity to get him back for teasing her with food and having said she looked poorly.
