Please, can we get some expert insight on the subject from your cousin, or Lazy J. It is understood that it may be prejudicial based on one's training, but some scientific clarity might help all of us.

There are always two sides to every story and having both discussed is important. My thinking is we don't know the long term effects of GMOs, distrust corporate in-house testing, and are not sure the gov't does enough to protect us. This is from where I approach the conversation, but would certainly like to hear more.

I have mentioned before on other GMO threads that my cousin had to sign confidentiality clauses on his research, even though his research was privately funded.
But I do know that he will avoid GMO food as much as possible. It is not so much as what he has to say, (or in this case not say) but how he lives his life and his facial expressions when the discussion of GM/GE foods are brought up.

It is in darn near everything, especially processed food. So try to eat as "clean" as possible.
If you can't pronounce the ingredients in the food item, is it food?

Thanks for sharing this experience on this thread! Sometimes people like me don't have enough time to read through threads and threads of comments. You repeating this was indeed an eye opener. I have shared your comments with my friends as well. You my friend have helped thousands through your comments. Again, thanks!

Congratulations on making the most absurd statement in the history of the internet.

As much as I hated reading the rudeness of Lazy J on many posts, He is correct here. I read some time back where it was found that DDT was not the dangerous pesticide we all thought it was and that not having it any more has caused a huge surge in malaria, etc. in some countries.
