Got a horse? Show it off here :-)

Registered Name: not registered
Barn Name: Snow or Snow White
Breed: miniature horse
Age: 8 - 12 years, but not really sure
Gender: mare
Color: she is a pinto that grayed out
Any illness: she has a fungal infection on her neck that we are currently treating.
Background: Snow is a rescue. She was found with a couple other minis and one miniature baby that we think was Snow’s. When we got her she was scared of wheelbarrows, getting hosed off, fly spray, saddle pads, stuff like that. She now is a lot better about most of those things.
Other: Snow loves treats. And I am hoping to do more trick training with her.

I have 12... used to train race horses so a few are retired winners (one won 13 races, one $100k doing it the hard way...) a few babies (yearling, two year old and 3) a five year old chestnut mare who normally I would say stay away because of the stereotypes but she is kid proof, lazy and didn’t want to be a race horse so now she is the one everyone rides.
And two mustangs adopted from the Blm who are now 16 and 17. (They were one and two)
I have the whole gamut...

Peach

Registered Name: Lily of the Valley (f)
Barn Name: Peach
Breed: Quarter horse
Age: 32
Gender: Mare
Color: Chestnut
Markings: Star Snip Blaze (She used to anyway :p)
Any illnesses it has? (PSSM/HYPP ect) Peach has arthritis in her back left leg. It is always easy to remember which leg has arthritis because it is the only white leg.
Background: Peach was a retired riding horse from (I don't remember where or what it was called) a ranch somewhere is NJ. At the ranch, she developed arthritis in her back leg. I got here a good few years ago when I wanted to learn how to ride. Peach (previously named Mimi) was the perfect horse for me as I didn't want to ride fast, do jump, show horses, or anything crazy. Since she had arthritis, she could no longer be used for riding lessons therefore, they gave her to us FOR FREE! :celebrate
When we bought her, we were told that she was an 18-year-old horse however as we observed here in our pasture she did not really look that young. When the vet came for a vet check, he checked her teeth and told us that she was not 18, but closer to 25! Not quite knowing which age was correct, we trusted the vet's decision as he was the expert, not the teenagers showing us around the ranch.
Peach now lives happily which her temporary friend Daisy (babysitting for a friend) the donkey and Liam the goat. Peach gets along with our goats Liam, Lucy, Gracie, and Luther. Whenever we wake up late to her feed Peach, she and Daisy let us know!
Thank you!
