There have been several times I thought my Dad was with me when something was just not right in my life.

Sometimes when I am in my chicken coop, I feel like my Grandmother's spirit is there. . .

While driving to where I was getting married, I saw a kingfisher and immediately had memories of my grandpa who had died the year before. At the same time, it stopped drizzling and the sun came out, which was wonderful for my outdoor wedding! Kingfishers are a favorite bird of mine, but grandpa wouldn't have known that.

Another time, driving too fast down our winding country road, voice inside my head said SLOW DOWN. Never heard voices before (honest... really), so I figured I better slow down. Came around a turn to find a large deer in my lane and a large truck in the other. I was only able to stop in time because I had slowed. Not sure who gets the credit for that one.

Enola, Doesnt surprise me one bit on what you feed your chickens . hahaaa, waste not want not right ? Sucks about your work hours but thats what to do. Just jump in where ever you can. And dont worry, I tend to repeat myself.

I see 9 people that are not members on the post. Just one time I would love for one of them to join just so they can say hi ! or, whatever they would like to say. to me. LOL I want to be responsible for a new member. Earn me some brownie points ! hahaa

Hi Granny and wonderful ladies of this thread. Here, Granny, I am a lurker, you can add me.

I am sitting at work where there's nothing happening (it's either crazy or nothing, and now it's nothing), and I just read the last 80 pages of the thread to catch up on your stories. Last time I was here I told you how you remind me of Steel Magnolias... since that you added more than 100 pages of chat... I was wondering last night how crazy that is, to read hundreds of posts from a chicken-related thread. I suddendly I got: there' s no argument here, no politics, no religion, no nasty comments about current events, no judgment, just good humans supporting each other through thick and thin.

I still have maybe 20 or 30 pages to go before I am totally caught up... You guys write a lot... It's hard to stay on top.

I moved to Arkansas 2 years ago, and have not made many friends here, life is hard for everyone it seems that all people do is try to keep up. In Chicago I had a my group of friends and that was a lot of support. It's hard without. The internet is a wonderful thing, but I wish some of you were closer.Yes, there's an Arkansas group on here, but they are not as entertaining as this group!

Hugs to all,
Catherine

Catherine, What beautiful words you write.

Welcome, I am happy you are here. Yes, everyone one here is very supportive even when I know I am doing wrong They have my back so to speak. I too wish everyone was closer but how lucky I am to have such great friends to talk to . My biggest "fantasy" right now would be for all of us to have a get together some day.
Steel magnolias , my sister used to watch that movie and when the girls sugar would drop and she acted mad at the world then my sister would jump up and declare "theres Pam, thats her !".

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. teach a man to fish and he will eat for a life time. ( I really like that saying) .
