There was a funny smell in my coop this evening. . . . I couldn't quit figure out what it was. . . . . So I opened the door and all of the chickens just sort of rolled out. They have never done that! So I peek in cautiously....... There is a dam skunk in there! Just a baby maybe just a hand span or so long. So I set the trap. Who wants the trap AND the skunk when I catch it?

I must talk to the landlord and explain to him why I NEED lights in the barn!!

Hope there are no more accidents, but it was a very stressful day for her. More concerned about the food aggression. Is it toward you or animals or both?

I can just see the chickens rolling out the door! Too bad the skunks go where they're not wanted, otherwise I don't mind them so much. My hubs caught a skunk when he was trying for the fox. Luckily he had rigged up a rope to release it from a distance. Worked great. No spray. Belle killed a baby one earlier this year and she had skunk breath for weeks.
