Morning all, looks like I have some catching up to do - popped off last night to do a couple quick chores and ended up never coming back.

@granny hatchet - our time together was definitely too short, but I enjoyed every minute. I have to admit, the busy part was actually a good thing from my side as it helps me work through the anxiety part when there is a lot else going on that means the focus is not all on me. I so enjoyed meeting you and your darling GS, though, and we WILL have to do it again (like when I drive you to the hospital - lol)

Red, you help people all the time. You just don't realize that you do. I can't wait for the day that you are finally able to get disability. The lack of having a job/paycheck has taken away your identity. You are a great person, we all see it, but you've lost site of it because some beurocratic department has made you feel less than a man. You are worthy, you worked hard all your life until you were not physically able. You deserve compensation. Gosh, here I am again on my soap box lol.

Have to laugh about people not sounding like you expect - my thing is when you spend a lot of time talking to someone on the phone and get this mental image of what they look like ---and then you meet them in person and were SOOOOO off. My previous position meant I spent a lot of time on the phone with the same people every week, built up this mental image of each of them and my mind was blown when I finally had occasion to see them in person.

Oh a snorer!! I have two of those here 3 including the dog!!

Almost forgot to tell you all !  DD got her food stamps So relieved . she got partial this month but they will come again.  She also said she will come here to cook a big fat turkey. . Wish I could get the house cleaned . Its so dusty !  I could write a story on my tables. Yuck !  I guess dinner will be paybacks . Hope I can at least make some baked beans. hers , not so good. LOL   You think I helped by losing my temper with them and telling them the kids were starving ? I told them a lot and I was not very quiet.  I did expect I would need that bail money.

I'm sure it helped and that's great news on the stamps

so everyone was commenting on how they open up so much more on this thread. I have a theory 1) great bunch of wonderful carring folks
2) it's a lot easier to open to people here, yes you know them but odds are slim that you will ever meet them in person thus removing the fear of SEEING other reactions to your story or them watching your body language as you tell it. IT tends to remove the fear of rejection and any ideas of how you judge yourself.

2 is definitely true for me. I am so very grateful to live in a day and age of the internet, etc as it has opened up a whole new avenue of social opportunities for me. I treasure the time I am able to spend here among you all!

Outsatnding news!!!! I am so happy that they have their food stamps now and even happier to hear that you are going to get to have Thanksgiving dinner! I hope that the day is one that you all enjoy. I understand feeling stressed about cleaning, but remember they aren't coming to see your house - they are coming to see you!

I was lying awake one night contemplating killing someone, but couldn't quite decide who because I had DH on one side, Jethro (dog) on the other and Flopsy (a cat we had) at my feet -- ALL snoring.

Morning y'all. We had a freeze warning last night!! I can't believe it! Though I should have known, because the guineas were roosted inside the coop. I've started using them to predict the weather.
