yup but only when its boiled by itself.

I don't mind them pickled  just wish they would shave them first.  Some get pretty furry'fuzzie

They're still a little slimy even in soup. I wouldn't want an excessive amount of them though.

Too much of it at one time abs it kind of reminds me of the texture of grape pie. It looks like snot too. I couldn't eat it. Mom loved it.

Granny, boil them in salt water till they're done. Poke them with a fork and taste one. Drain the water all off then add butter and more salt if needed.
