I have wondered about this too. I think the answer, that they are so carefully not saying, is that it changes as needed. Around the time I first started BYC, it was said you had to have 10 posts. There was quite a bit of spamming going on then, so that probably had something to do with it because later I noticed people saying that the post count had to be even more than that. Nifty was very vague about it- Make a few posts and then try.

I get that it can change, but it just kills me that they can't just say, "Right now you have to have x posts - that could go up or down as needed" -- because, like I said, it can be really confusing when one person can't post photos and is told it may be due to post count and then you go to an introduction post and see the new member there having no trouble putting pictures in their first post to the site, which I have seen this all on the same day........silly me thinking asking would yield a straight answer.

Yes, frustrating, especially when you are trying to help somebody. Guess they don't want to reveal their battle plans. I haven't encountered any spammers for a long time now.

I was editing my post when you quoted. Added my 2cents on gold sexlinks.

Good afternoon all Same chicken droppings different day here. Hopeing to get garden plants in this afternoon we had a frost again last night. Wacky weather this spring cold grey nasty global warming my @ss. Can't remember if I posted this or not. Carpet installers coming on Mon doing 3 rooms so by Tues afternoon they should all be up and running. Busy punch listing things that need to be completed in them. So the stupid adjuster for the ins co said to "just cut the bloody parts of the pad out and replace those parts" yeppers that way it can move around ,bunch up and generally not stay in place. Went to the police to ask for copies of the pic's for the ins co can't get until they are finished with the investigation/autopsy maybe 2 weeks. On the bright side byc seems to have fixed their problem with not being able to type in a normal fashion and speed. Cudo's to them and what took them so long??

None of my serama eggs were good. 2 not fertile and the rest rotted on day 21. I tried to put them in the coop and run with the others and the rooster started fighting right away so he is back in a cage. I think the hen is too small. sucks . ALL the other serama hens and roosters get along just fine. One more hen sitting then she will go into the coop and run too. still no pictures of them.

Sorry granny, that stinks! I've got eggs hatching in a week, hoping I will have better luck with the Swedish Flower & Silkie eggs hatching this time. I'm right there with on submitting pictures. For some reason that feature quit working for me on this site. I don't know if it is something with my phone that changed or something on the site itself. Sad, wanted to share pictures of broody mama and babies. The little stinkers are going to be 3 weeks on Tuesday already. I have a Buff Orpington that thinks she wants to be a momma too. Probably not a smart move on my part, but gave her 4 of the eggs that are due to hatch in a week. She's a first time broody so we will see.

Hope you have good luck with them Lisa, I wasnt planning on her sitting. I dont want more. I have to get rid of the seramas i have now. She was already sitting when i decided to rehome them. the rooster is away from her now.

been trying to make a leg for my chick that has twisted leg. I took a ball of styrofoam to start. carved out a groove for her leg and went down from there. She is walking ! finally a good plan. LOL she is eating and drinking fine. Its not perfect by far but it tells me she has tons of growing to do yet but my mind is spinning with possibility for her. when she is full grown i am thinking teak wood? I am looking at the kids leggos too. It could expand as she grows.
