Ok, still sick here...... Getting sick of being sick! Called last Friday to ask the dr a question...... Was told he would call me back, he never did. This is the second time no body called me back.

So, I showed up yesterday, with another stool sample, and asked to see the dr. I was told he was booked up I couldn't get in. So, I smiled and informed her I wasn't going anywhere, I had been sick for 2 weeks now and somebody better start giving a dam n.

So, here comes the head nurse, to tell me no body can see me, she is sorry. So I said well I hate to tell you this but I called Friday and for the second time no body returned my call. So if somebody doesn't see me today, I will be talking to the administration to find out why nobody here seems to care about patients.

I saw the dr............ So they took the stool sample and are checking for internal parasites and giardiasis.

They sent me home with Metronidazole. The same thing turkeys get for Black Head Disease.

Enola, you got vent gleet ? LOL whatever its called. pasty butt ? I was very sick about a yr. ago and couldnt figure it out for the longest time. It was my salad dressing, mayo. check the dates !!! Oh and if you do happen to have worms, I dont want to know, it will give me night mares.

Omg I cant breath !! phone just rang, husband says hold on , i will let u talk to the wife. he hands me the phone and says I dont know, something about a pap smear. I said WHAT ?

I said hello and the pharmacist is on the line laughing so hard she cant talk. she finally says, Levameir, Levameir . We are out of your husbands Levamier !!!!

I'll look at the bottles from the last go round when I get home tonight - I know two are antibiotics because when she flares, she licks/chews and opens her self up for infection in the skin, one is an antihistimine, one is a steroid and I am sitting here racking my brain trying to remember what class the other would be.

@Wishing4Wings - totally forgot about this when we were talking about it before, so sorry - anyway, as "luck" would have it we are mid- flare yet again with dear Ziva, so she was off to the vet today and this time around we came home with:

cephalexin in two different dosage amounts
chlorpheniramine maleate
prednisone
apoquel
terbinafine
and, for added fun, some tri-otic to put in her ears

Plus, medicated shampoo for twice weekly bathing - did I mention she HATES baths?

This course is set to run for 30 days at this point -with the very likely extension of an additional 2 weeks after her check near the end of these meds. It doesn't help that the clinic is unexpectedly suddenly down to just one vet (from three) so it took almost three weeks for them to be able to get her in when I saw her start and called for an appointment so she's gotten to a pretty miserable state.

Oh poor Ziva. Hope all that helps her. What kind of dog is she? Wondering just how fun bath time is going to be! I wash Belle out on the driveway with a hose hooked up to warm water. She's too big for the tub. She doesn't like it except for the part where her rump gets scrubbed real good.

Belle hasn't had anything that requires a vet visit so far, thank heavens. She started chewing one more time, so I upped her benadryl dose for a couple of days. Found the cause on the little dog's head... flea dirt. Haven't had that problem in over a year, but Belle reacts pretty badly to fleas, so good I caught it right away. She gets benadryl every night and I finally got some coconut oil to see if it helps her dry flaky skin.

Two days of turkey meds, and I am feeling much better. Still no appetite though.

glad ur feeling better enola. Guess what i have from the heat ? itching and burning something awful. still no repair person. in the 90s today. I cant take much more of this. cant go anywhere and have Tom be able to take his meds. he is swelling bad too. even the chickens are getting in Flos wading pool. they just stand there for a min. then hop back out. LOL very cute.

i am so hot !!!! looking for a window ac. they are rare right now. My ads are back. who do i yell at? Not that i do anyway but Tom asked me to fry him a couple egg sandwiches. I gave him 4 slices of bread and 2 cold raw eggs on a paper plate . Told him thats all he is getting from me til my air is back on. watching a video of egg tricks this am. says to peel put your boiled egg in a glass of water,and shake it hard then the shell just slips off. I forgot to cover it. I put 3 cans of freon in my van the other day. it was the best 5 min. of my life. The famous Friendship flea market and shoot (muzzle loaders) is starting this week end. My road is hopping with campers. Great time to have a yard sale if so inclined. I did that once. Made ok money for extras laying around. sold my 2 brand new air conditioners for 30 bucks.

gonna head outside and get Toms fried egg here in a min. I havent gathered them today. Thinking about stealing flos pool for a bit. I would share with her but one of us would mess the water. I would hate to make her sick for my own selfish reasons. every time i look at my dog Frosty i get mad. she should of melted by now. I decided i would let her run outside with my Star and she was doing so good ! then i blinked. found her in the neighbors pond. Grandson carried her home. he was covered in green she was in heaven . Star hasnt been cut all summer and part of the winter. I am afraid my groomer is going to fire me when she sees her. I was thinking of shaving Frosty too. now sure how that works with wire haired terriers. her hair is NOT growing so would i end up with a bald dog ? Snuck off to DQ with one Gs this am. we were so careful to not get caught. threw all the wrappers away and every thing. came in the house and Tom says , " next time you sneek off to DQ you should pull your hair back". HU ?? air conditioner strikes again. Guess its not possible to eat ice cream with the windows down .
