Your sibling has a good heart some people feel even small lives matter and have compassion and mercy on all Gods creatures.
I wouldn't be to hard on her/him. They seem to be far and few anymore.

X 2 -- in a perfect world you would both be able to accept and respect the fact that, on this sort of issue, you just have totally different views and leave it at that......and sometimes we have to "rise above" when the other party is incapable of this (i.e. her starting it all with the name calling).

BTW - I understand this is much easier said than done, especially when dealing with siblings as there are often all the "underlying issues" that can make something coming from a sibling even harder to swallow than were it to come from someone else. I have an older sister that can set my blood boiling just by breathing, lol. We do not see eye-to-eye on ANYTHING and I find that, for me, sometimes I just have to block her out entirely for the sake of my own sanity.

My sister and I are two totally different people...and don't see eye to eye on a whole lot of things.

She's angry at me right now too cause I'm not meeting up with her in Vegas (four hour drive or so from me) when she'll be there for a hair show cause I should love going to Vegas and all the shows and people and sitting by the pool...

...never quite understood that a) I hate hate hate crowds of people. Makes me really uncomfortable/nervous/etc. b) Vegas in July. Did that before. Was so stupidly hot that nope. Granted that was a truck break down but still. No desire to go back there. C) sitting poolside. Yeah. Nope.

She even had my mom nag me on that one too. Come on. The entire nine years I lived in Calgary she came out ONCE. When I was still in college and she came out with her boyfriend to see his family. I should be going back to Ottawa more often I should be this I should be that...hubs and I aren't made of money. Come on.

Ugh. So yes. I will go overboard from time to time driving the point home to her that I am not her.

[IMG] - I hear you! I often wonder how on earth my sister and I are even related, let alone grew up in the same house, raised by the same parents and sharing the same life --- and yet turned out SO different....... We are just absolute polar opposites on nearly every issue, count, etc.

Lol well. My sister was always the girly girl too (and hey she's now a hair stylist so...)

I was, in the words of my dad, the son he never had. (Now...how the heck are you supposed to decipher that comment lol)

Take it as a compliment - from one "son he never had" to another. Growing up my nickname was "Jake" - I was the last child, the fourth girl of four children for my dad. So, I became his Jake - and I wouldn't trade it for the world. We shared an incredible, special bond and I treasure all the memories that I have of our time together (he passed when I was 17) - all those wonderful "father/son moments". As a sidenote, that is why my youngest child, my son, is named Jake - only wish dad had been here to see it and share with my kids the wonderful man that I knew.
